Counselling Approach :
Reinvent Counselling provides a person-centred, client-focused counselling service. Counselling is designed to support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment.
Counselling aims to help you develop self-awareness, identify strengths and work towards positive change. Counsellors do not provide medical, legal or financial advice.

Confidentiality :
Information shared during counselling is confidential except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person.
Confidentiality may be limited if:
•There is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person.
•Records are subpoenaed or requested by a court of law.
•Disclosure is otherwise required by Australian law.
•You provide written consent for information to be shared with another person or organisation.
•There is information of child abuse.
Your information is managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.

Fees and Payment :
The counselling fee is $50 per session.
Payment is required before or at the commencement of each session unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellation Policy :
Late cancellation fees apply as follows:
Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of session fee payable.
24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of session fee payable.

Record Keeping :
Counselling records are maintained securely in accordance with professional and legal requirements.
Records may be retained for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of your last counselling session.

Telehealth Services :
Counselling may be provided via Zoom, telephone or other approved online platforms.
While reasonable steps are taken to protect privacy and confidentiality, online services carry risks including technical difficulties and internet disruptions.
You are responsible for ensuring you participate from a private and safe location.

Nature and Limits of Counselling :
Counselling is a supportive, non-clinical service.
Outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Counselling is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment.
Where appropriate, referral to a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist or other health professional may be recommended.

Ending Counselling :
You may discontinue counselling at any time.
If counselling is no longer considered appropriate, alternative support options or referrals may be discussed.

Emergency Situations :
Reinvent Counselling is not a crisis or emergency service.
If you require urgent assistance, please call 000, contact your local Mental Health Crisis Team, or attend your nearest Emergency Department.

Consent :

  • I confirm that I have read and understood this Counselling Agreement.
  • I understand the limits of confidentiality.
  • I understand the fees and cancellation policy.
  • I consent to receive counselling services from Reinvent Counselling.
  • I understand that Reinvent Counselling is not an emergency or crisis service.
